If you are listing a space on Spare Space, it’s important to ensure you have the legal right and permission to do so.
Spaces can only be listed by:
The owner of the property,
An authorized employee or representative of the owner, or
A tenant with written permission from the owner, landlord, or housing association (if applicable).
Before listing, we recommend checking:
Your rental agreement or lease for any restrictions on short-term bookings or events,
Local laws and regulations related to short-term rentals, zoning, and fire safety.
If you are a tenant, consider obtaining a written rider or permission letter from your landlord clearly stating your right to host short-term activities or events in the space.
By listing on Spare Space, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to host activities in the space and that your listing complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Note: Spare Space may request proof of ownership or lease documentation during the verification process for owned or rented spaces.
