How do I manage availability on Spare Space?

Accurate availability is key to your success on Spare Space. By keeping your calendar up to date, you’ll attract more qualified guests, spend less time messaging, and improve your space’s visibility in search results.

Guests can view your space’s availability when selecting dates for their booking. Dates with confirmed bookings will automatically be blocked on your calendar.

Managing Your Availability

You can block specific dates and times directly in your Spare Space calendar using the “Block Time” button.

If your space is booked outside of the platform or otherwise unavailable, make sure to block those hours or days to prevent double bookings.

Instant Book Settings

If you need more control over your schedule, you can temporarily disable Instant Book to prevent automatic confirmations until your availability is fully managed. This ensures you only accept bookings when you’re confident the space is ready and available.

Important Notes

• There is one calendar per space - if you manage multiple spaces, you can toggle between them in the Calendar tab.
• Keeping your calendar accurate helps maintain your visibility and reliability as a host.
• Failure to manage your calendar consistently may impact your host status or temporarily hide your listing from search results.
