How should i price my space?
Last updated on April 20, 2026
Great pricing = more bookings. It’s that simple. Spare Space guests value transparent pricing with no hidden charges. When they see your listing, they should immediately understand what’s included and how much it costs. The most successful hosts make booking easy by keeping their pricing simple, clear, and consistent.
Understanding the hourly pricing model
Spare Space works on a straightforward hourly pricing model, giving guests the flexibility to book only for the time they need—and giving you control over how your space is used.
- Hourly rate: The cost per hour to rent your space.
- Minimum booking hours: The least number of hours a guest can book.
As a host, you can set your hourly rate and minimum hours depending on the kind of activities your space is suitable for. For example:
Meetings: ₹800 per hour with a 2-hour minimum
Productions: ₹1,500 per hour with a 2-hour minimum
Events: ₹2,500 per hour with a 4-hour minimum
Pricing strategies You can adjust your rates to match demand and usage patterns: Calendar pricing: Set different prices for weekends, weekdays, or peak months. Minimum hours: Use higher minimum hours for events or activities that require longer setup and wrap-up times. If you don’t have a standard hourly rate, decide your minimum booking value and set your pricing accordingly. For example, if you want every booking to earn at least ₹5,000, you can set ₹1,250 per hour with a 4-hour minimum.
Cleaning and maintenance Hosts are responsible for maintaining their spaces between bookings. We recommend factoring cleaning and maintenance costs into your hourly rate so your guests see a single, all-inclusive price.
