What are the steps to becoming a Spare Space host?

Welcome to the Spare Space Host Community! We’re excited to have you onboard. Follow these steps to set up your account, list your space, and start earning through bookings on booksparespace.com.

1. Create an Account
   Sign up using your email ID or Google account on booksparespace.com. Once registered, verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
2. Verify Your ID
   Upload a valid Aadhaar card, passport, or driving license in your Account Settings for ID verification. This step helps ensure a secure and trusted host community.
3. Link Your Payout Method
   Add your bank account details under the Payout section to receive your earnings directly after each booking. Payments are processed securely and sent automatically after bookings are completed.
4. Add Your Space
   Head to “My Listings” → “Add a Listing” and fill in the key details about your space: Basic Information: area (sq. ft.), capacity, and amenities High-quality photos: at least 10+ clear, well-lit images Pricing: hourly rate and additional charges if applicable Availability: specify dates and time slots when your space can be booked
5. Choose Your Space Type
   You can list your space under one or more of the following types: 🏡 Residential Spaces: homes, villas, apartments, rooftops, terraces ☕ Cafes & Restaurants: dine-in spaces, lounges, private sections 🖼️ Creative Spaces: studios, galleries, rehearsal rooms, warehouses 💼 Office & Meeting Spaces: coworking areas, conference rooms, corporate venues 🎭 Event Spaces: halls, courtyards, outdoor venues, boutique properties Each space type helps guests discover the right setting for their activity.
6. Select Activities Allowed
   Every space can host different kinds of activities. Choose what best fits your space: Events: private gatherings, pop-ups, workshops, brand launches, exhibitions Productions: photoshoots, video shoots, film projects, content creation Meetings: team sessions, interviews, brainstorming, or offsites You can select multiple activity types if your space supports more than one.
7. Wait for Approval
   Once submitted, your listing will go through a short review process by the Spare Space team. If your listing meets all quality and policy guidelines, it will go live on the platform. If any edits are needed, you’ll be notified about the updates.
8. Start Hosting & Get Paid
   When your listing is live, guests can start booking your space. After each booking, your earnings are transferred directly to your linked bank account — fast, transparent, and hassle-free.
