What is cancellation and refund policy?

Spare Space allows Hosts to choose from multiple cancellation policies — ranging from Super Flexible (24 hours) to Non-Refundable. The selected policy is shown on every listing and during checkout.
Refunds depend on when the Guest cancels relative to the Booking Start Time:
Super Flexible: Full refund if cancelled ≥ 24h before start; 50% refund if < 24h and ≥ 2h before start; no refund after that.
Flexible (default): Full refund if cancelled ≥ 72h before start; 50% refund if < 72h and ≥ 24h before; no refund after that.
Moderate: Full refund if cancelled ≥ 7 days before; 50% refund if < 7 days and ≥ 72h before; no refund after that. Firm: 50% refund if cancelled ≥ 14 days before; no refund after that.
Strict: Non-refundable except during a 2-hour grace period (if start ≥ 48h away).
Non-Refundable: No refund at any time; offered at a 10 % discounted rate.
All cancellations after the booking starts are non-refundable unless covered under Host fault, Excused circumstances, or Platform-initiated cancellations.
